Hello parents and swimmers! My name is Cara Chuang and I'll be Rockville's head coach for the 2026 season! This isn't my first rodeo with the Rays: I was also head coach in 2011, 2014, 2015, 2019, 2021-2025, and a swimmer for the Rays from 2002-2010. During the years where I wasn't officially coaching, you may still have seen me lending a hand on deck, cheering at meets, or snacking on food at the Friday parties!
Although I was privileged enough to represent RMSC at Olympic Trials and to compete for a NCAA Division I college team during my athletic career, the Rays have always held a soft spot in my heart. I'm elated to be back and can't wait to help introduce another generation of Rays to the fun of summer swimming!

My name is Catherine Chan, and I am thrilled to be coming back as an assistant coach for the Rockville Rays Swim Team this summer. I started my competitive swimming journey with the Rockville Rays and competitively swam for RMSC and my high school swim team. As a current college undergraduate, I still love spending time swimming and have also been pursuing Modern Dance. I look forward to coaching and having a fun time! Go Rays!!!
My name is Elizabeth, and I am excited to be a returning assistant coach this year. I swam on Rockville Rays for 4 years, and was a part of RMSC for almost 9 years now. Being a part of Rockville Rays has definitely been the highlight of my summer for the past few years so I'm incredibly excited to step into that role as an assistant coach! I can't wait to have a memorable summer with all of you guys and I’m looking forward to coaching everyone this year! GOOOO RAYS!
My name is Michael, and I am excited to be an assistant coach for the first time this year! I've swam on Rockville Rays for the past 4 years. I have also trained with RMSC Rockville for the past 8 years and will be continuing my swimming career at Carnegie Mellon University this fall. The enthusiasm the whole team brings to the pool while both swimming and cheering have made these past summers so memorable, and I can't wait to coach all the amazing Rays this year! GO RAYS!
My name is Ray, and I am excited to be your assistant coach this year. I swam on the Rays for 10 years and this will be my third year assistant coaching. I just finished my first year of collegiate swimming. Some things I do outside of the pool are pickleball, reading, watching football/baseball and road trips. I’m looking forward to coaching everyone this year! GOO RAYS
