Due to inclement weather on July 12, the Coaches Long Course meet has been rescheduled. Thank you for the RSFC leadership for accommodating this change. We are hopeful that the weather will cooperate for our backup date.

Print your own copy of the meet program (will be updated as scratches are processed) and bring it with you: copies will NOT be available at the meet.

Date, Location & Schedule

The rescheduled MCSL Coaches Invitational Long Course Meet will be held at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center on Tuesday, July 19th. The meet will begin at 6:30 pm and the facility will be opened at 5:00 pm. The warm-up schedule is listed below:

There will be no halftime break. Instead, we have three lanes for continuous warm-up/warm-down in the upper pool. These lanes will open after the warmup period in the competition pool has concluded.

Swimmers may only warm-up in the Competition Pool during the designated warm-up period.

Activity: Shirt Decoration

During this Friday's potluck, we will be doing shirt decoration! We'll use fabric spray, fabric paint, and puffy paint to create rays-inspired designs on clothing. What you will need to bring:

  • A T-shirt (or other clothing item). This could also be the shirt that you did tie-dye on, or a different shirt. I'd recommend a plain shirt instead of a Rays shirt so you have more room to decorate, but the back of a Rays shirt will also work. Dark or light colored clothing will both be okay since we have various colored paint. If your swimmer has friends the team, you could buy a multi-pack of plain shirts as a cost-effective solution.
  • A piece of cardboard to put inside the shirt while decorating to prevent wrinkling or colors bleeding through. Previously, we tried sharing cardboard pieces but it took a while since the cardboard needs to stay in the shirt until the paint dries. The cardboard should fit inside the T-shirt when laying flat. See this link for an idea of what it is used for.

What to Bring: Shirt to decorate (can be shirt that was tie-dyed)
